A bit about Stepping Stones DS

Stepping Stones DS is a parent led Down Syndrome support group.  The group was started in November 2006 by two Mums, who both had a daughter with Down Syndrome of a similar age and found there was a lack of support in the local area.  We welcome membership from families living within our catchment area in North Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey, and currently support over 140 members ranging in age from 0-20 years old.

Stepping Stones DS provides a wide range of activities to help our members develop key skills, whilst providing the opportunity to build friendships with their peer group.  Additionally, these activities often provide an opportunity for parents to get to know one another and meet other families.

Stepping Stones DS is an entirely volunteer led and self funded group. It costs approximately £7000 per month to run all the activities and service we provide and all money is raised through fundraising, grants and donations. We would love to hear from you if you would like to support us in any way.
