Our Policies and Commitment to High Standards
We are committed to operating with transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of care. Our policies outline the principles and practices that guide how we support children and young people with Down syndrome, their families, and our wider community. These documents ensure we remain safe, inclusive, and consistent in everything we do, while reflecting our values and responsibilities as a charity.

Safeguarding Policy
At Stepping Stones DS, keeping everyone safe is important to us. We make sure all our staff and volunteers know how to spot any signs that something might be wrong and what to do if they’re worried about someone.
This means that everyone involved in our organisation goes through necessary background checks and receives thorough training. By doing this, we ensure that each staff member and volunteer understands how to keep people safe, respond appropriately in different situations, and follow our safeguarding procedures.
We believe that every person deserves to be respected, listened to, and included in decisions about them, no matter how old they are or how they communicate. We always handle personal info carefully and only share it with people who really need to know, so you can be sure your privacy is protected.
