Bringing #ChristmasCheer to our community

Stepping Stones DS is an extended family of support that helps young people with Down syndrome fulfil their potential by providing opportunities to be social, have fun and learn.

At Stepping Stones DS, we place a high value on community. Families, friends, neighbours, supporters, cheerleaders and advocates are all vital in our work, but we have had precious little time together over the past 3 years.

This year, we are bringing our community together to celebrate the holiday season.

So, if you can join the Reindeer Run, visit our stall at Fleet Market or send our bespoke digital Christmas cards to your community in exchange for a small donation, you will be helping our community to thrive. If you can't take part in any of these activities, you can still show your support by making a donation to one of these activities.

Your donation will help us to continue supporting young people with Down syndrome to fulfil their potential by providing opportunities to be social, have fun and learn.

Tilly has been to dance lessons and we have attended numerous courses which have provided us with vital information to help us on our Down Syndrome journey.

Virtual Christmas Cards

Why not save the postage on Christmas cards this year and make a donation to Stepping Stones DS instead? We will send you a Jpeg card for you to share with your friends and family digitally.

Join us to run, walk, cheer or volunteer at the Stepping Stones DS Reindeer Run on Saturday 10th December.

We are taking over ParkRun in Rushmoor for a one-off Reindeer Run on Saturday 10th December at 9am. Please use our form to register your interest and let us know if you would like to participate or volunteer. You can do that here

The event takes place at Queens Avenue, Aldershot, GU11 2JL. See here for more details.

What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! but please register before you go along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode on the day (request a reminder). If you forget it, you won't get a time.

How fast do I have to be?
We all take part for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!

Stepping Stones DS will be at Fleet Market on Saturday 17th December. Come and play our tombola; there are lots of great prizes to be won. Or, grab yourself a Full of Potential tote bag ready to fill with Christmas goodies from the market.

The Fleet Saturday Market (Gurka Square) showcases the best local food and crafts along with your weekly essentials of bread, fruit & veg and cheese. There's a diverse range of stalls to tempt you with everything from fresh fish and game to artisan gin and luxury desserts. Come along and be a part of it!
